The internet is a very crowded place - finding a prime spot to establish your new internet real estate could be a real troublesome task. How do you find those keywords that people are looking for and that offer a high return (particularly difficult if you are looking to make money via Google Adsense or Yahoo! YPN etc ).

How do you find those keywords that people are looking for and that offer a high return (particularly difficult if you are looking to make money via Google Adsense or Yahoo! YPN etc ).You could spend many a long hour trawling the web and all to no avail. But why waste the effort when people with the relevant skills and tools have already done it - why not simply purchase a keyword list that someone else has produced ?

Like any purchase the purchase of a keyword list should be carefully evaluated, you should examine factors such as :-

1) Cost - how much will I pay and how does that compare with other lists on the market ( rule of thumb - do not pay more than $50 for a list.)

2) How many keywords - any decent list will contain many thousands of words and phrases. A good list will also be split into keywords by value - remember everyone is after the top paying keywords it is often better to concentrate on some of the lesser paying clicks ( a $1 per click is still a lot of money !)

3) Value add - does the list contain any other information apart from keyword and value - two great things to look for are number of competitive sites ( how many sites already focus on the keyword ) and some sort of "attractiveness" index.

4) Money back guarantee - anyone producing a good list will be prepared to back it with a guarantee.

The other side of the keyword coin is - I have a site but need to attract more visitors and am thinking of using PPC - pay per click - advertising (overture, adwords etc). A keyword list can help in this situation by identifying under saturated areas - i.e. areas where you can still bid low and generate traffic.

In summary keyword list scan be useful for those who are looking to establish sites and those who already have sites. A good keyword list can be identified by applying the simple principles now.
